Acquisition of Metro Fire Paging, LLC serves as platform for new service

1st Responder Newspaper, the definitive source of local news for the emergency services community in New Jersey, has acquired the assets of Metro Fire Paging (MFR), LLC signaling the company's entry into the field of breaking news notification. The new company's name, effective June 1, 2005, will be 1st Responder Wireless News.
The services provided by Metro Fire Paging, LLC to its current customers will continue until June 1 when the 1st Responder Wireless News (www.1stResponderWirelessNews.com) system will officially launch. Existing customers will automatically be cutover to the new system.
"The acquisition of Metro Fire Paging provides a solid foundation of not only existing customers, but the technology infrastructure necessary to easily expand our customer base," said Joseph Belsito, Publisher of 1st Responder Newspaper and President of Belsito Communications, Inc. (www.Belsito.com) the parent company of the newspaper and wireless news group. "Metro has done and outstanding job of providing incident news coverage to the Metro New Jersey/New York and Eastern PA markets. 1st Responder Wireless News will take that coverage to an even higher level by tapping into the newspaper's vast network of correspondents to provide the best coverage possible to our wireless news customers."

Coppola will remain with the new company as a Senior Advisor, while Metro's IT administrator, Joseph Lutz, will assume the same position with 1st Responder Wireless News.
Belsito also announced that Vincent Martin, who formerly worked for Breaking News Network, has been named the General Manager of 1st Responder Wireless News. Martin is a past president of the New Jersey Metro Fire Photographers Association, as well as an honorary member of the New Jersey Deputy Fire Chiefs Association, a member of the Fire Bell Club of New York and a member of the Fort Lee Fire Department, recently serving as a Lieutenant.

What is 'wireless news'?
1st Responder Wireless News reporters are working 24 hours a day, 365 days a year monitoring emergency services radio traffic to provide the most comprehensive coverage available of fire, police and rescue calls in the New Jersey and Metro New York area. Also, if requested, subscribers can receive coverage from our affiliates in all of the major cities in the United States.
Subscribers can choose to buy a pager from us, or have their Wireless News delivered to their existing pager, cell phone, two-way device or even an email address. If you currently subscribe to another breaking news notification service, we can convert your present pager to receive the 1st Responder Wireless News feed.
Individual subscription prices are $7.95 per month for the 1st Responder Wireless News feed. Commercial account rates are available on request and can be custom tailored to your company's specific needs.
